Spring, Are You There? It’s Me, Jena

Do you ever have those days where you feel like you’ve been cold long enough and you’re just itching to wear your new spring clothes? Or any spring clothes? Or just not feel like your in a freezer 24/7? (those in Southern California need not to reply). Well, I’m having one of those weeks. So I decided to vent about it on Twitter yesterday (well, it was more like one tweet). And then do a blog post about it, naturally.

I’d really like to see a little more of this…

And a little less of this…

Get what I’m saying?

Maybe it’s because I have these Valentino sandals waiting in my closet and they probably won’t get any love until mid-June, maybe it’s the fact that I’m just now realizing my electric blanket is getting too much love, or maybe it’s because I just want people to see my pedicure for once. With that said, this will either give you some hope or make you really depressed…here’s some of the things I’m looking forward to this Spring.

  1. I don’t even bother with pedicures this time of year! But I know what you mean, when I painted my toenails a few weeks ago for a trip to Mexico it lifted my mood when I didn’t even know it needed lifting. I’m ready to be done surviving winter!

  2. I’m with you – I want Spring. At least to wear normal shoes and not snow boots. Looks like the snow last night puts me a little further from this goal. Looking forward to the Ford project – here are a few Chicago spots where I like to spend my $$ – Roslyn, Dovetail and Milk. I’m sure you know them. I just bought some Domestic Workwear pants at Dovetail. Very local since they are being made by a guy here in the city. Waiting to pick them up. It’s like Lill Street for pants! Happy Friday. Stay warm. Off to put on a sleeping bag coat and walk to the gym.
